You never know where your next rescue will come from. But you are determined to do everything possible to assist the unfortunate animal in need!
This motto is followed by any animal lover with respect. Regardless of the challenges we may face, abandoning an animal in need is never an acceptable choice.
Unfortunately, it seems that some individuals continue to abandon these innocent animals in the most unfavorable locations. Recently, a litter of puppies was discovered in the foothills of Idaho’s Owyhee Mountains.
A pair of hikers were deeply saddened when they heard whimpering sounds coming from a nearby plastic box. The sight left them feeling heartbroken…
The hikers were shocked as they neared the box. Unimaginable that someone would be so cruel. They were all seven pleading with a giant black bin for help.
The pups were malnourished and dehydrated. The length of time they had been in the mountains was unclear, but they needed aid immediately.
The courteous hikers acted instantly. They called many local rescues, but none had room for these sweeties.
Then Idaho’s Lake Lowell Animal Rescue helped!
LLAR stated on Facebook that 7 underweight, dehydrated puppies were found abandoned in a crate in a secluded spot.
They too had several fresh dogs at their disposal, but they couldn’t bear to leave these abandoned babies.
All seven were treated at their facility. Soon, their genuine personalities emerged!
The Community At Its Finest
Once the puppies became more comfortable in their new surroundings, they began to show their true personalities. From their behavior, it was evident that they had previous socialization experience, as they were all very friendly and affectionate.
Once they received proper care and nourishment, their true nature was revealed. These adorable little ones quickly captured everyone’s attention with their playful nature and became the beloved favorites of the rescue.
In just a few days, the most incredible news came! The community quickly became aware of the puppies’ heart-wrenching tale, leading to an outpouring of food and toys being sent to the rescue.
The boxes of puppy food and toys we requested a few days ago have begun to arrive, and we are incredibly thankful. We were even moved to tears a few times. This is a truly unique and unprecedented experience with puppies. It’s absolutely mind-boggling, my friends. They expressed their gratitude on Facebook for the timely discovery of these children.
These courageous furry companions quickly made their way to their temporary foster homes, and the rescue organization is incredibly grateful for their safe arrival!
Melissa Blackmer and her incredible team expressed deep gratitude to those who generously welcomed these innocent canines into their homes and hearts.
It cannot be emphasized enough how crucial foster homes are to animal rescues. According to her, we rely on foster homes just as much as we do their forever homes,” she explained to The Dodo.
Currently, the puppies will remain with their foster families until they are fully prepared to be placed in their permanent homes.
When the time comes, they will embark on an exciting new adventure and bring immense joy to some lucky individuals! However, the most crucial aspect is that they will never have to experience abandonment again.
