Alysse left again after learning this, determined to save the dog and make sure she was secure.
Alysse Matlock saw something fluffy walking in the middle of the roadway while traveling down a rural highway just outside of Noble, Oklahoma.

It was a true small Australian Shepherd, she realized as she got closer.

Fearing harm to the dog, she pulled over and attempted to entice it into her car. But the canine mistook her good intentions for fear and fled.

Thankfully, the young woman took a picture and posted it on Facebook when she got home, wondering whether anybody else had ever seen this small fur ball.

They did, positively enough!

Intervention Mission

Nevertheless, nobody knew where she had come from.

Ten miles from where Alysse first met her, in the middle of Noble, the dog, now named Journey, was discovered a few days later.

With the arrival of colder weather, most animal lovers in the city have been concerned for Journey’s safety, realizing that she needed a place to stay alive.

When someone noticed that her stomach was enlarged, it was suspected that this dog was quite pregnant and that the pups were arriving soon!

Alysse went out to look for the dog after hearing this information, deciding this time to get her somewhere safe.

At ultimately locating her, Alysse spent three hours trying to get Journey to believe her. But as one in the morning came and Journey continued, Alysse felt under pressure to return the next day.

Safety Last

The next day when she went back, Alysse noticed someone peeping behind a large piece of rubbish. She looked closer and saw it was Journey, who had found a temporary haven from the cold.

“She had spent the night curled up in a busted recliner by the facet of the freeway,” Alysse said in a video.

However, Journey would not cooperate when Alysse tried to bring her into the car once more.

Finally, on the summit of a hill, Alysse and a few other city dwellers recognized Journey.

Together with a tonne of hotdogs, the rescue team successfully apprehended the small mischievous and got her into the car.

When she was eventually apprehended, it was such a relief. We strangers who had gathered on the side of the road that morning started hugging.

Novel Existence

When Alysse finally had the puppy in her care, she immediately brought her to the veterinarian, who verified that this soon-to-be-mama would start offering within the next five to seven days.

Still, the next morning Alysse woke up to some strange squeaking noises.

After Journey, there have been two small puppies, and their four siblings followed shortly after. Journey developed into a mother of a lovely and healthy litter.

Being in a warm and safe environment, the brave mother and her children have at last been able to unwind, which was essential to Mama’s recovery.

The small home can be stored safely for the time being, and the Noble Now Inc. Friends of Noble Animal Shelter will offer them for adoption if no owners are found.
