Regretfully, some pets never get the chance. Many dogs end up on the streets because of careless breeding, and most of them never survive.
One tale of this kind comes from California. All of it began when a bread breeder neglected to properly care for a litter of puppies.
The circumstances of these puppies were terrible and they had a lot of issues.
The sound of a puppy crying less than three days old stopped a woman in her tracks.
Help was sorely needed because the nest as a whole was virtually hanging on their final breath!
One worried neighbor
The puppies’ cries alerted a worried neighbor, who realized they needed assistance.
Little more than a few days old, the puppies required care.
Sadly, the puppies were left alone after the mother passed away from hemorrhage.
The breeder’s neighbour called Clanay Reza, a self-employed Californian rescuer with a big heart, and asked if she could help.
Being the tiniest puppy among them, Lucky was given little hope of survival. Clanay persisted, nevertheless.
The first eight weeks of Lucky’s life, Clanay had to feed him every twenty minutes. She hardly slept and was always watching out for Lucky.
I never knew what tomorrow held for him, she said.
Not an easy first year
Three-day-old albino dog had no chance of surviving, and now he is three lucky second chances at life. Lucky had numerous health issues. He was blind in one eye and had a corneal ulcer in addition to a fungal infection.
That eye had to be removed when he was four months old. He had no other hope of overlevening. Inbreeding also left him with the albino condition.
Lucky never lost the will to live in all of the suffering.
“He’s had a roller coaster of a life in his first year,” Clanay said, “but I’m grateful for all the bumps in the road we’ve had with him. Their only contribution has been to deepen my affection for him.”
Final happiness
The three-day-old albino puppy had no chance of overlevening, and now he has. Five lucky second chances in life_ Today Lucky is eight years old and leading a wonderful life.
His amazing will to fight helped to develop him into a powerful, self-assured dog. Lucky makes a great friend.
As it is how he has always behaved, he genuinely loves everyone, especially kids.
Being the most wacky, fluffy, and cuddliest member of Clanay’s devoted family, he is just adorable.
To play with now is his new sister.
